I weave both rag rugs and wool, including exquisitely soft hand-spun wools. Some are woven using tapestry techniques and are also shown in the tapestry galleries. Others use different techniques, including traditional rag rug weavings and non-traditional "Not your grandparents' rag rugs!" Commission a special rug in your color scheme!

All rugs are made to be used on the floor, but if you want yours to hang on the wall, please specify that when ordering. A $10 charge to convert the rug to a wall hanging will be added.
Handspun wool rug
The rag rugs can all be used as either floor rugs or wall hangings. They are machine-washable and dryable. I pack them tightly so they wear well. One should never vacuum any handwoven rug as the suction wears out the warp threads, causing the rug to disintegrate. Just shake them out between washings.
Wool rugs are strong and wear well on the floor. Those that are hand-spun are more delicate than those using commercial yarns, but still can be used on the floor as well as hung on the wall. Dry clean or handwash only.
